GSL Education are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school setting in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development while helping them thrive in both learning and personal growth.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

• Support pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs to help them engage positively with learning.
• Build trusting relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and self-regulation.
• Implement targeted interventions, behaviour strategies, and individual support plans.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adapt support where needed.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that enables every pupil to succeed.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and professional conduct at all times.

What You’ll Bring as a Behaviour Mentor:

• Previous experience supporting children/young people in a school, youth work, care, or mentoring environment.
• The ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused when supporting challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
