Mental Health Care Assistant

We are looking for a mental health care assistant in a protected living setting. You have affinity with adults with psychiatric problems and/or autism spectrum disorder. You are socially skilled, reliable, and know how to provide structure and calmness within a living environment where clients work on recovery and independence.

Tasks

As a mental health care assistant, you will support clients in their daily lives within the protected living setting. Your tasks include:

• Supporting adult clients with severe psychiatric problems or autism

• Providing structure, safety, and continuity in the living environment

• Assisting with daily activities, such as cooking, household chores, and self-care

• Fostering independence and social skills

• Signaling changes in behavior and responding accordingly

• Collaborating with colleagues and other healthcare professionals

• Providing support within a 24-hour setting

About the location

You will be working at a protected living location in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of amenities. The location consists of multiple small-scale group homes and independent apartments within one building. Clients have their own living space and share common facilities. There is a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where people cook and live together. Additionally, there is a spacious garden adjacent to a park. The location offers a guest-friendly living environment with 24-hour support.

What we offer?

• Salary according to the CAO GGZ from 4272 to 5244 per month based on full-time and an hourly wage from 27.39 to 33.62 including holiday pay, vacation days, and end-of-year allowance. Salary dependent on your educational level and experience.

• We offer a zero-hour contract with the guarantee that you can work between 24 and 36 hours per week.

You have it

• A completed MBO-4 or HBO degree in healthcare or social work.

• Good communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly.

• A calm and professional demeanor, even under pressure, which allows you to provide clients with the necessary calmness and safety.

• Experience within psychiatry is a plus
