Mentor for Children with Disabilities

Are you a sturdy, caring, and involved mentor with a passion for supporting children and young people with a multiple impairment? Do you have experience with difficult-to-understand behavior and do you like to give clarity and structure? Then we're looking for you! What will you do? For a location in Hoorn, we are looking for a mentor who will commit to 3 to 4 days a week, including Friday, for a number of clients in the pubertal age. This concerns a temporary commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Your main task will be to provide support and guidance to these young people, focusing on their personal development, social skills, and daily living skills. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, and for reporting on the progress of the young people. You will work closely with the team and other professionals involved in the care of these young people. What do you need to do this job? You need to have a relevant education and experience in the field of special education or a related field. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with young people, parents, and other professionals. You should also be able to handle difficult situations and be able to maintain a positive and professional attitude. What do we offer?
