This is the environment you will work in

At Commissarislaan 35-5, we are building a new team. This means that together with colleagues, you will discover what works, what is needed, and how you want to be there for the clients. You will support elderly clients with moderate intellectual disabilities. They largely live side-by-side and have their own habits and rhythms. At the same time, they depend on the support worker to make the day pleasant and structured. As they age, many things change. Physical care becomes more important, and familiar patterns can come under pressure. This requires support that is calm, clear, and predictable, but can also adapt when situations change.

• You have a minimum of level 3 working and thinking ability. Preferably, you have experience in care for people with disabilities;
• You have knowledge and/or experience with the LACCS method and are willing to follow (practical) training if necessary;
• You are calm in your approach and clear in what you do;
• You are flexible, have a sense of humor, and enjoy working together, but can also work independently;
• You enjoy being part of a team that is still taking shape

What will you do

You are present in the daily life of the client. You help with care, support where needed, and ensure that the day has a recognizable structure. But it's mainly in the small things: seeing what someone needs, responding to signals in time, and preventing tension from escalating. You work from proximity. Sometimes by sitting next to someone, sometimes by providing direction or taking over something. You adapt to the moment but also keep an eye on what someone can handle. Because physical decline plays a greater role, you notice that situations can change more quickly. This requires you not only to do what has been agreed upon but also to continuously observe and adjust yourself. Simultaneously, you build with colleagues a team that is still developing. This means there is room to search, coordinate, and learn together.

What we offer you

• A permanent contract (from 16 hours) with room for flexible working within Frion;
• A salary between €2,836 and €3,825 gross per month (based on 36 hours, FWG 40) + 8% holiday allowance and 8.33% year-end bonus;
• Commuting allowance (car €0.20/km, public transport fully reimbursed);
• A schedule with 8-hour shifts as much as possible;
• Opportunities for self-development with education and training.
