Are Media New Zealand is looking for an experienced content creator to lead beauty editorial across some of the country's most loved and trusted brands, including Woman's Day and New Zealand Woman's Weekly . This rare, part-time opportunity is for someone who knows their retinol from their retinal and their peptides from their ceramides. Someone who understands that beauty is equal parts science and art, with a deep understanding of the latest trends, products, and treatments. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the beauty industry, including current trends, products, and treatments. • Lead the development of engaging and informative content for beauty-related articles, features, and online platforms. • Collaborate with editorial teams to create compelling stories that showcase the best of New Zealand's beauty scene. • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the beauty industry, including brands, PR agencies, and influencers. • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the beauty industry and adapt content accordingly. • Work closely with designers and art directors to create visually appealing layouts and designs for print and digital publications. • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of innovative ideas and concepts. • Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and meets the high standards of Are Media New Zealand's brands. Requirements: • 3+ years' experience in a similar role or related field (e.g., beauty journalism, content creation). • Strong understanding of the beauty industry, including current trends, products, and treatments. • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to suit different audiences and formats. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
