Are you ready to learn, grow, AND get to work right away? As a BBL Soldier Signals Service, you will combine work and learning while pursuing a two-year paid ICT Support training at MBO level 2. You will not only obtain your entry-level qualification in ICT, but also develop your technical, physical, and mental skills. If you enjoy teamwork, think solution-oriented, and love a challenge, then this position is perfect for you.

Please note: there are multiple start dates per year. Your exact start date depends on your application process and the security clearance. Once everything is finalized, we will schedule your start date together.

What you will do

During your training, you will grow into the technical backbone of our communication and connection systems. You will be trained as a driver of military vehicles, allowing you to safely transport and deploy these systems during exercises and missions.

You will ensure that the systems are set up, connected, and continue to function optimally. Working accurately and quickly is crucial—our operations rely on your dedication, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Your tasks include:

• Preparing materials and systems for deployment
• Transporting systems to various locations
• Setting up, connecting, and commissioning systems
• Monitoring that everything remains operational
• Performing maintenance on systems and equipment

After your basic training, you will follow various specialized training courses and system training. Additionally, you will continue to work on your military skills and fitness through joint physical training sessions.

Where you will work

After your training, you will be assigned to a Signals Unit at the Gen. Majoor Kootkazerne in Stroe. You will work at the barracks, in mobile command centers, and at various training grounds, both nationally and internationally.

You will work independently and as part of a team, often in collaboration with colleagues from other units and international partners. No two days are the same—your environment and your assignments are always dynamic.
