Building Material Tester (m/f/d)

At M&P Ingenieurgesellschaft Gruppe West, around 100 employees at our locations in Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Hagen are currently working on projects in the fields of environmental engineering and water management. To further strengthen our Geotechnical department, we are looking for you as a Building Material Tester (m/f/d) at our Cologne location, effective immediately.

Responsibilities

These are your responsibilities:

• Execution and evaluation of geotechnical laboratory and field tests for soil mechanics calculations (e.g., sieving, static and dynamic plate load tests)
• Expert supervision of earthworks, among other things in civil engineering in the context of internal and external monitoring according to ZTV E-StB / ZTV SoB-StB
• Execution and supervision of drilling work (small rotary drilling, dynamic probing, exploratory drilling) as well as construction of groundwater monitoring wells
• Sampling from environmental media soil, water, and air, as well as material samples for demolition investigations
• Contribution to expert statements and geotechnical reports

Qualifications

What you bring with you:

• Completed vocational training as a building material tester, sampler, or equivalent qualification
• Ideally, expertise in LAGA PN 98; DGUV 101-004/TRGS 524
• Professional experience in the aforementioned field of activity
• Confident demeanor on construction sites and in customer service
• Proficient use of common MS Office products
• Project and goal-oriented way of working
• Team player with good communication skills and interest in creative problem-solving
• Valid driver's license class B
