Civil Engineer in Contract and Additional Claims Management (m/f/d) 100% Remote in Germany

Our client is an established construction company with several hundred employees, specializing in complex demolition, core removal, and renovation projects. This involves exciting projects with high personal responsibility, short decision-making processes, and entirely internal project execution.
Become part of the team as a Contract and Additional Claims Manager and support the further development of additional claims management.

Responsibilities

You will support project teams in the economic evaluation of construction projects and further develop additional claims management together with the management.

🔍 This means specifically:

• Preparation and Processing of Additional Claims: You will evaluate contract deviations and prepare corresponding additional claims
• Review of Documents: Analysis of bills of quantities, contracts, and tender documents
• Identification of Additional Claim Potentials: Assessment of economic opportunities during project execution
• Contract-Related Communication: Preparation of notices of obstruction and other important correspondence
• Calculation & Evaluation: Economic assessment of additional claims and support in price determination
• Collaboration within the Project Team: Coordination with project managers, site managers, and clients
• Preparation for Negotiations: Support in additional claims negotiations and, in the future, independent execution
• Further Development of the Department: Active shaping and optimization of additional claims processes within the company

Qualifications

• Completed degree in civil engineering, e.g., Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering, alternatively further training as a construction technician or comparable technical qualification
• Technical understanding of construction processes and interest in economic contexts
• Knowledge of VOB/B and understanding of contractual relationships
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluent German language skills for optimal communication within the team and externally

Nice to have:

• Initial professional experience in the building construction sector
• Experience in calculation, site management, construction billing, or additional claims management
• Knowledge in handling bills of quantities
• Negotiation skills in exchanges with clients
