Geotechnical Engineer / Soil Scientist with Home Office Option (m/f/d)

Job Description

PolyTALENT recruits directly for a specialized engineering firm in the Munich area, which handles demanding projects in geotechnics, soil mechanics, and hydrogeology. They are seeking an experienced individual who will independently prepare soil reports, professionally manage projects, and act as a key interface to department management.

Responsibilities

• Independent preparation of soil reports, geotechnical reports, and expert opinions
• Assessment of soil and foundation conditions for building construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects
• Conception of site investigations, drilling programs, soundings, and groundwater investigations
• Coordination of field work, drilling companies, laboratory services, and external project participants
• Technical coordination with clients, specialist planners, testing engineers, and authorities
• Assessment of geotechnical risks and derivation of economical and feasible foundation recommendations
• Participation in bids, cost estimations, scope of services, and change orders
• Technical support for department management as a sparring partner in daily business

Profile

• Several years of practical experience in geotechnics, soil mechanics, engineering geology, or hydrogeology, as well as in independent report preparation
• Suitable background, e.g., as a Civil Engineer Geotechnics (m/f/d), Engineering Geologist (m/f/d), Geoscientist (m/f/d), or experienced Construction Technician (m/f/d) with relevant soil mechanics experience
• Proficient in handling geotechnical issues related to foundations, soil properties, earthworks, and foundation engineering
• Experience in project coordination and ideally in cost and change order management
• Knowledge of GGU software, groundwater modeling, thermal groundwater utilization, or dewatering is advantageous
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, for reports, documents, and coordination
