We work with clients to improve business performance, manage risk, and drive growth. We are looking for a BAS Accountant to join our team in Auckland. You will be responsible for providing a range of accounting services to our clients, including: * Preparing and reviewing financial statements * Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) * Providing advice on accounting matters * Assisting with tax compliance * Developing and maintaining client relationships **Day to day, you will:** * Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. * Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) for clients. * Provide advice on accounting matters, such as GST, PAYE, and FBT. * Assist clients with tax compliance, including preparing tax returns and responding to queries from the Inland Revenue Department (IRD). * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients. * Work collaboratively with other members of the BAS team. * Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation. **What you’ll bring to the role:** * A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. * CA or CPA qualification (or working towards). * 3+ years of experience in a similar role. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Experience with preparing and lodging BAS. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software **Benefits:** * Competitive salary * Comprehensive benefits package * Opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects * Opportunity to develop your skills and career * Supportive and collaborative work environment * Flexible working arrangements **About KPMG** KPMG is a global network of professional firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services.
