Barista and Beverage Preparation Supervisor

CIMMYT is seeking dynamic, autonomous, and service-oriented personnel for the position of Barista Supervisor for the BSD program chapter operations.

This consultancy will be located at CIMMYT's headquarters in El Batán, Texcoco, Mexico, 45 minutes from Mexico City.

Main responsibilities:

® Prepare beverages according to supervisor instructions, ensuring quality and nutritional value.

Solicit, store, and rotate supplies according to PEPS.

® Avoid waste, control portions, and maintain cold chain.

® Perform cash register duties, record sales, deliver cash, and update accounts receivable lists.

® Collect payments at points of sale and ensure correct prices in the system.

® Support catering setup following Distinctive H guidelines, including temperature control.

® Label products, verify temperatures, disinfect fruits, vegetables, equipment, and utensils.

® General cleaning of food and beverage areas

® Participate in weekly/monthly inventories and organize equipment in storage rooms.

® Fill logbooks, support training, report anomalies, and collaborate in recertification processes.

® Cover absences from personnel, support catering before, during, and after the event.

Requirements:

® Technician, intern, or degree in gastronomy or related field

® Proven experience in restaurant and hotel service for at least 2 years

® Knowledge of cash register operations in sales, desirable knowledge of point-of-sale software

® Attention to detail and excellent customer service

® Organization and responsibility in managing money

® Knowledge of Distinctive H desirable
