Haymarket Bakery Cafe is a busy and well-established bakery café located in Market
City Shopping Centre in Sydney’s CBD. They are known for producing fresh, high-
quality baked goods and servicing a diverse and high-volume customer base.

About the Role
They are seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join their team on a full-time basis. The
successful candidate will be responsible for the daily preparation and baking of a
range of bakery products while ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and
compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, bake, and finish bread, pastries, and other bakery products

• Follow established recipes and daily production schedules
• Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, and provers
• Monitor baking processes to ensure correct temperature, timing, and product
  quality
• Maintain high standards of product quality, taste, and presentation
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of work areas in accordance with food safety
  and WHS requirements
• Assist with stock control, storage, and minimisation of waste
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen and café staff

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant qualification in Baking (Certificate III in Baking or equivalent
  preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery
  environment
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and production processes
• Understanding of Australian food safety and workplace health and safety
  standards
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
