Backup Engineer

We are looking for a Backup Engineer to join a project related to the development and migration of a backup environment. The role includes working with Veritas NetBackup and Dell Data Domain solutions, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and environment optimization. An important element of the project will be supporting the migration of backup policies from NDMP to DNAS. Scope of responsibilities Administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Veritas NetBackup environment Support for migrating backup policies from NDMP to DNAS Administration and integration of Dell Data Domain with NetBackup Participation in backup environment migrations Monitoring and management of environment capacity Analysis and optimization of backup performance Diagnosing and solving technical problems Creation and updating of technical documentation Knowledge transfer to maintenance teams Independent execution of tasks related to backup environment migration and development Requirements Practical experience in administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Veritas NetBackup Very good knowledge of NDMP and DNAS backup policies Experience with Dell Data Domain and integration with NetBackup Experience in migrating backup solutions Knowledge of capacity management and performance optimization issues Ability to diagnose complex technical problems Experience in creating technical documentation Ability to work independently in an infrastructure environment Nice to have: Experience with NAS migrations and storage platforms Experience in large enterprise environments and infrastructure transformation projects
