We are VanSprint, a growing e-commerce company specializing in e-bikes and bicycle accessories.

We combine our passion for bicycles with modern online retail and bring e-bikes to people throughout Germany. In addition to our retail store in Darmstadt, we primarily reach our customers through our online shop.

The cycling industry has experienced its ups and downs in recent years. Thanks to our dedicated team, we have successfully overcome these challenges and continue to grow steadily.

To ensure that our systems and processes keep pace with our growth, we are looking for you as a Backend / Middleware Developer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

Your Tasks

• Development and further development of backend applications and middleware solutions

• Development and maintenance of interfaces between our online shop, ERP, inventory management, logistics, and other systems

• Development and connection of APIs and web services

• Processing, synchronization, and transformation of data between different systems

• Automation and optimization of our internal e-commerce processes

• Further development of existing integrations and implementation of new interfaces

• Analysis and resolution of errors in data flows and system integrations

• Ensuring reliable and performant communication between our systems

• Development of individual solutions that make our daily operations easier and more efficient

• Close collaboration with our frontend, e-commerce, and operations teams

Qualifications

What you bring to the table

• Experience in backend development

• Good knowledge of PHP and/or a comparable backend technology

• Experience in developing and using REST APIs / web services

• Experience with databases and structured data formats such as JSON/XML

• Understanding of system architectures, interfaces, and data flows

• Experience with Git and modern development processes

• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset

• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working

• Enjoy understanding complex technical processes and making them simpler

• Good German language skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Xentral or other ERP/inventory management systems

• Experience with Shopware 6

• Experience with e-commerce interfaces

• Knowledge of Symfony

• Experience with Docker and/or Linux

• Experience with cloud services and modern deployment processes
