Backend Developer Python with English or German - genAI

For a technology company belonging to the international dm group, we are looking for a subcontractor to cooperate as: Backend Developer (Python) with English or German - genAI dmTECH is over 1,400 experts from various technological areas who, every day, create, maintain, and develop retailTECH solutions for the dm concern – one of the largest European drugstore chains. We operate in Germany, Austria, and Poland. Every day, the results of our work build the experiences of customers, employees, and business partners in 14 European countries, including our own. We are shaping the retailTECH industry based on the latest solutions, collaborating agilely, and thinking long-term. Project: In the Customer Data Services department, we help create technological solutions – from those supporting marketing and communication to product recommendations, coupons, and even local assortment design issues. As designers, we rely on the latest technologies and concepts related to data and AI utilization. Our goal is to build a system for image generation, supported by artificial intelligence: dmBild AI. The system is intended to assist internal dm teams in creating high-quality product images and marketing assets on a large scale. Tech Stack: Python, React, GCP, genAI Place of cooperation: hybrid (Wrocław) or 100% remote cooperation Form of cooperation: B2B Contract Salary: Mid: 100 - 140 PLN/h + VAT on B2B Senior: 140 - 180 PLN/h + VAT on B2B What our cooperation will entail: Providing services in the design and development of backend solutions, integrating various systems with our new and existing application infrastructure – with a strong emphasis on responsibility for the entire created solution, from concept to production support. Consultations regarding the implementation and integration of generative AI and language models into the backend architecture – while maintaining a stable connection with existing systems. Advice in the area of cloud architecture and data platform design and optimization (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure). Required experience and qualifications: Very good command of Polish (minimum C1 level) and English (minimum B2 level). Multidimensional, practical experience working with Python. Experience in the concept and implementation of cloud architectures and data platforms based on GCP, AWS, or Azure. Independence, openness to continuous improvement, readiness to learn, and an emphasis on creating quality solutions. Additional advantages will be: Knowledge of German. Practical knowledge of issues related to genAI and Agentic AI. Completed higher education in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related fields. Experience in using Javascript/Typescript and React/React Native frameworks. Practical knowledge of AI-supported developer tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot, and their conscious use, considering code quality and security. Knowledge of good security practices, secrets management, and dependency analysis.
