Backend Developer (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Backend Developer (m/w/d) to support our development team. The parq parking GmbH is a newly founded technology company from Erlangen, developing modern parking solutions. We combine software, IoT, payment, modern hardware and computer vision to create a fully digital parking platform.

To support our development team, we are looking for a Backend Developer (m/w/d) who builds high-quality, scalable backend systems.

Aufgaben

• Development and further development of our backend services and microservices.
• Implementation of stable, performant APIs for web, apps, and IoT devices.
• Modeling robust database structures & optimization of queries.
• Integration of payment providers such as Adyen or Stripe.
• Implementation of webhooks, payment flows, and secure transaction logic.
• Collaboration on our cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Use of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Closely working with the Teamlead Fullstack Development on architecture decisions.

Qualifikation

• 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Very good skills in server-side / object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, Java, Go, C#).
• Practical experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB or MySQL).
• Solid understanding of RESTful Services, API design and microservice architectures.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Routine in setting up CI/CD pipelines and working with containers.

JavaScript Ecosystem (Nice to Have)

No must, but helpful for API design & feature alignment:

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like AngularJS, React or Vue.
• Understanding of UI- or utility libraries (e.g. jQuery, Moment.js).

Payment

• Experience with Stripe or Adyen (payment flows, refunds, webhooks, API integration).

Bonus Points

• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience with MQTT communication (IoT integrations).
• Experience in modern logging-, monitoring- or observability-systems.
