Backend Developer (Java)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Backend Developer (Java) to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Development of back-end website applications.

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic.
• Implement core business logic.
• Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Design and develop APIs.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Taking lead on projects, as needed.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
• Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
• Write technical documentation

Requirements

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Have at least a Bachelor's degree.
• Possess a Certificate as Java EE Application Developer.
• 10 years’ experience with Java/JEE and its frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate).
• 3 years’ experience with Cloud-based DevOps.
• 2 years’ experience with: Postman, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Maven, Git, SVN, Angular 10+, eREST services, Jira, Confluence, Kafka, Swagger, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure, ElasticSearch, Junit, PHP are considered as additional assets.
• 1 year experience with Weblogic Application Server.
• Experience of development with Compass Corporate is considered an asset.
• The following certifications are not mandatory but considered an asset: Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Proficiency in English C1 level
