Azure Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d) in Cologne

What awaits you

As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the setup, operation, and continuous development of our Microsoft cloud infrastructure. You will provide a stable, secure, and highly available Azure platform and, together with the IT team, further develop the company's future cloud architecture. Furthermore, you will be the technical contact for Microsoft 365 as well as modern security solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem and will support the automation and standardization of our IT landscape. Together with our IT team, you will actively shape the transition from a predominantly on-premises infrastructure to a modern, secure, and scalable Azure cloud environment.
The position is full-time in Cologne or Frankfurt and can be performed in a hybrid working model after your onboarding.
Your tasks:

  • Planning, operation, and optimization of the entire Azure platform
  • Management and further development of M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Implementation of security policies, Identity Protection, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender
  • Administration of identities, roles, groups, and authentication methods
  • Development of PowerShell scripts and automation of administrative processes
  • Monitoring of the Azure environment, analysis of performance metrics, and capacity planning
  • Participation in cloud projects and support for IT management on architecture, infrastructure, and security topics


What you bring

  • Completed training as a "Fachinformatiker" (System Integration) or a comparable degree
  • Several years of professional experience in the Microsoft cloud environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and SC-300)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell and Terraform
  • Very good German language skills at B2 level for smooth internal and external communication
  • Independent working style
