Azure Data Architect (Presales Lead)

Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our Data & AI practice, with a strong focus on technical pre-sales, solution architecture, and modern data platforms on Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and expertise in project delivery. This role requires a unique blend of deep hands-on engineering expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior business and technology stakeholders. Together we do what matters.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales Leadership & Solutioning: Lead pre-sales engagements, including responding to RFPs/RFIs, conducting discovery workshops, and delivering compelling, value-based presentations and demonstrations (PoCs) to senior business and technical stakeholders. Develop comprehensive effort estimates and delivery plans, packaging the proposed solution into a clear, executable delivery approach. Updating contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other subject matter experts in the business.Technical Architecture & Delivery Oversight: Provide architectural governance and leadership for multiple concurrent client projects, ensuring the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions on the Microsoft Azure/Fabric platformTeam Management & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and adherence to engineering best practicesClient & Stakeholder Collaboration: Build trusted relationships with clients and internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Delivery, Practices) to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and align data strategies with business goals.Innovation & Best Practices: Define technical direction and standards for the practice, stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and Other Azure Data Services), and data governance / security, and contributing to the development of new solution offerings.Project Delivery Accountability: Take full accountability for end-to-end project delivery of data solutions, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are achieved in line with the agreed delivery plan
