Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

Role Overview We are seeking an autonomous and highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines. You will drive modernisation initiatives, implement policy as code, and ensure secure, reliable operations in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Azure DevOps & Infrastructure as Code • Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules (AzAPI, Azurerm) for Azure infrastructure. • Build and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. • Develop and implement automated testing and validation scripts for Azure infrastructure using tools like Pester or PowerShell. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement DevOps pipelines using Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools. • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements by implementing Azure Policy as Code. • Develop and maintain reusable Azure Functions for automation of repetitive tasks. • Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or other tools. Key Requirements • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and managing cloud-based infrastructure on Azure. • Strong understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to: Azure Storage, Azure Compute, Azure Networking, Azure Security Center, and Azure Cost Estimator. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM). • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based infrastructure. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
