Job description
Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Data Warehouse) Our client is looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong Data Warehouse background to support the growth of cloud-based data platforms. The role focuses on building, optimizing, and automating AWS data warehouse infrastructure while supporting and mentoring data engineering teams. You’ll work closely with senior data specialists in an Agile environment, helping scale secure, reliable, and well-documented AWS data solutions. What you will do: • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS data warehouses using Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and other AWS services. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data warehousing strategies that meet business requirements. • Develop and maintain automated workflows for data processing, transformation, and loading using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Apache Spark. • Work closely with data engineers to design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines using AWS Kinesis, Amazon S3, and Apache Kafka. • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing data governance policies and procedures. • Develop and maintain documentation for data warehousing solutions, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides. • Participate in Agile development processes, working closely with product owners to prioritize features and develop data warehousing solutions that meet business requirements. • Mentor junior engineers on AWS best practices, data warehousing strategies, and data engineering principles. • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, tools, and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve data warehousing solutions. Our ideal candidate has: • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a strong focus on cloud-based data platforms. • Strong understanding of AWS services, including Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Apache Spark. • Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available data warehouses using AWS services. • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL. • Experience working with Agile development processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
