AWS Cloud Solution Architect (m/w/d)

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enterprise Cloud Architecture: Conceptualization and Design of complex, enterprise-grade AWS architectures for Multi-Account environments, including Governance, Security, and Compliance frameworks for large customers
• Strategic Technology Consulting: Execution of Executive-Level Workshops and Technology Strategy Sessions to define Cloud Roadmaps and Transformation Strategies in alignment with business goals
• Advanced Solution Engineering: Development of innovative solution approaches for challenging use cases such as Hybrid-Cloud Integration, Multi-Region Deployments, and high-performance Data Platforms
• Technical Pre-Sales: Participation in complex RFP processes, creation of RFP Responses, and presentation of technical solutions to decision-makers
• Architecture Governance: Establishment and further development of Architecture Standards, Patterns, and Best Practices, as well as execution of Architecture Review Boards
• Innovation & Research: Evaluation and pilot testing of latest AWS Services, development of reusable Solution Accelerators
• Team Development: Mentoring of Solution Architects and junior colleagues, as well as technical leadership in complex customer projects
• Thought Leadership: Representation of Devoteam at conferences, creation of Whitepapers, and building brand awareness as an AWS expert

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Your day often begins with a Strategy Call with a Key Account, where you act as a Senior Technical Advisor to co-create the customer's long-term Cloud Vision. Subsequently, you lead an Architecture Review Board with your team to make critical design decisions for ongoing projects and ensure the quality of our solutions.

The morning is often characterized by Deep-Dive Sessions with customers, in which you analyze complex technical challenges - whether it's a Multi-Account Governance Strategy or the architecture of a serverless Data Lake solution. You work closely with Enterprise Architects to develop technical Roadmaps that meet current requirements and enable future scalability.

In the afternoon, you focus on strategic activities: You develop innovative Proof-of-Concepts for emerging Technologies, create detailed RFP Responses for new large projects, or lead Solution Design Sessions for complex migration scenarios. An important part of your work is also coaching Solution Architects in your team - you share your expertise in mentoring sessions and lead technical workshops on advanced AWS topics.

You often close the day by documenting Lessons Learned from customer projects, preparing for or working on our internal Innovation Lab, where you experiment with latest Cloud Technologies and develop the next generation of our Solution Accelerators.
