AVP or VP, Builder's Risk Executive Underwriter

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Builder's Risk Executive Underwriter to join our Construction First Party team. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of Builder's Risk policies, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Builder's Risk policies, ensuring accurate and timely risk assessments and policy issuance. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure exceptional customer service. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, account managers, and claims professionals, to ensure seamless integration of risk management and claims handling processes. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting decisions and maintain a competitive edge. • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical and soft skills, and stay current with industry best practices. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as insurance, risk management, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in underwriting, risk management, or a related field, preferably in the construction or insurance industry. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Strong understanding of the construction industry, including building codes, regulations, and industry trends. • Strong understanding of insurance products and services, including Builder's Risk policies. • Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
