At Acuity Insights, we help education programs identify the human-centred skills in applicants that define excellence … What You’ll Do: * Lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Drive the technical vision and strategy for our engineering organization, aligning with business goals. * Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our software products and systems. * Ensure the quality, scalability, and security of our engineering solutions. * Collaborate with product, design, and other teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. * Manage and mentor engineering talent, providing guidance and support for their professional growth. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation. * Manage and control engineering budgets and resources. * Make recommendations for new tools and technologies. * Ensure adherence to all security and compliance requirements. What You'll Bring: * 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams. * Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and systems design. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. * Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. * Experience with Agile development methodologies. * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Nice to have: * Experience in the education technology industry. * Experience with data analytics and machine learning. * Experience with security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, GDPR).
