Job description

Role: AVP – Consumer Risk Established in 2019, Credit Saison India (CS India) is one of the country’s fastest growing Non-Bank Financial Company (NBFC) lenders, with verticals in wholesale, direct lending and tech-enabled partnerships with Non-Bank Financial Companies (NBFCs) and fintechs. Its tech-enabled model coupled with underwriting capability facilitates lending at scale, meeting India’s huge gap for credit, especially with underserved and under penetrated segments of the population. Credit Saison India is a subsidiary of Japan-based Credit Saison Co., Ltd., one of the world's largest consumer finance companies. As an AVP – Consumer Risk, you will be responsible for leading the risk management function within the Consumer Lending business unit. This role will involve developing and implementing risk strategies to ensure the growth and profitability of the business while maintaining a strong risk profile. The ideal candidate should have experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of credit risk assessment, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance. You will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, collections, and compliance, to ensure that risk strategies are aligned with business objectives. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing risk strategies for the Consumer Lending business unit, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring a strong risk profile for the business. • Conducting credit risk assessments and portfolio reviews to ensure that lending decisions are sound and aligned with risk tolerance. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and senior management. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management, ensuring that the business remains compliant and competitive.
