The Ombudsman of Private Insurance and Suva acts independently, neutrally, and free of charge in cases of problems and disputes concerning insurance with affiliated private insurance companies, Suva, and other public law accident insurers.

We contribute to compensating for the imbalance of knowledge and power between policyholders and insurance companies, and to guaranteeing access to justice for policyholders who are not already represented by a legal professional.

Occupancy rate: 100%

Contract type: Permanent position (indefinite duration)

Languages: French (native language or excellent command, negotiation level)

Workplace: Neuchâtel (and teleworking)

Your tasks in this role

• Processing legal files and requests (in writing and by phone) in French
• Conducting negotiations in French; proficiency in English is an asset
• Evaluating and clarifying complex legal issues in all branches of insurance

What you bring to this role

• Swiss university law degree with a bar admission
• Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in insurance law, ideally with solid experience in legal assessment and claims handling in the areas of the LCA (life and non-life) and the LAA
• An independent, conscientious, and responsible way of working, combined with a strong team spirit
• Negotiation skills, empathy, and confidence in delicate interview situations
• High motivation and good stress resistanceA strong sense of serviceFluency in French in communication with various target audiences
