Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our defence sector in Amberley, QLD. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems; Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment; Maintaining thorough records of actions taken; Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and; Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.

The essential requirements

Trade Certificate IV (Avionics); Any C-27J experience; Heavy maintenance experience on transport aircraft; Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components. Strong team player; Ability to follow supervisory direction; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Consistent positive and proactive attitude; Passion for safe work practices; Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); Current Australian Driver's licence.; and Australian citizenship and ability to gain Defence clearance.
