Avionic Systems - Safety & Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

To support our team at a renowned customer in the aerospace industry, we are looking for a Safety Engineer (m/f/x) Aviation Electronics as a permanent employee at K-tronik as soon as possible. Does that sound interesting? Then we look forward to your application!

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning, execution, and control of development activities for complex devices and systems in the aviation industry
• Shaping the architecture of our aviation systems through safety requirements in the sense of safety and functional safety
• Specification of monitoring functionalities of our electronic systems in development
• Definition, validation, verification of safety-critical technical requirements in accordance with our defined processes, as well as documentation
• Providing evidence for safety-related requirements of the aviation systems developed and qualified by us
• Interdisciplinary communication within the team, with the customer, and/or third-party companies on safety-critical technical content

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, physics, automotive engineering, or similar qualification
• Experience in the development of safety-critical electronic systems in the aviation industry in accordance with current aviation norms and standards
• Knowledge of ARP4761 or alternatively: knowledge in the field of functional safety according to ISO26262 is an advantage
• Demonstrable experience in creating FMEA, PESA/ESA, CMA, or SEE analyses/tests, among others
• Responsible and independent way of working
• High analytical skills
• Interdisciplinary approach and team spirit
• Very good English and German language skills
