Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual for the role of Embedded Software Engineer (AUTOSAR BSW). The resource will join the Automotive Basic Software (BSW) dedicated team and will be responsible for the configuration, integration, validation, and release of AUTOSAR software components for next-generation Electronic Control Units (ECUs), translating customer and system requirements into robust and high-performing software solutions.

Main Responsibilities

The resource will operate throughout the entire software lifecycle and will be responsible for the following activities:

• Requirements Analysis: Analysis and definition of AUTOSAR BSW configuration requirements based on customer, system, hardware, and software requirements.
• BSW Configuration and Integration: Configuration, integration, debugging, and release of AUTOSAR Basic Software components in compliance with architectural guidelines.
• Communication and Service Stack Management: Configuration and troubleshooting of communication stacks (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, J1939, Ethernet) and AUTOSAR services (Diagnostics, Memory Management, EcuM, BswM, Crypto Services).
• CDD Development: Definition of software requirements and architecture for Complex Device Drivers (CDD), supporting their implementation and validation.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring compliance with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) regulations.
• Integration and Testing: Definition and execution of software integration, verification, and debugging activities on target platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Daily cooperation with System, HW/SW Application, Integration, and Validation teams to ensure end-to-end product quality.

Required Technical Skills

The characteristics sought for the professional we are looking for are summarized below:

• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
• Excellent knowledge of programming in C language for embedded systems and compliance with MISRA-C guidelines.
• Solid knowledge of the Classic AUTOSAR architecture (with a focus on the BSW layer) and ETAS ISOLAR-A / ISOLAR-B tools.
• Experience in configuring specific AUTOSAR stacks:
• Diagnostic Stack: DCM, DEM, FiM (UDS protocol).
• Communication Stack: COM, PduR, CanIf, CanTp.
• Memory Stack: NvM, Fee, Ea, MemIf.
• Crypto Stack and Cybersecurity solutions.
• Knowledge of communication protocols CAN, CAN FD, LIN, J1939, Ethernet.
• Proficiency in using simulation, diagnostics, and debugging tools: Vector CANoe, Vector CANdela, Lauterbach TRACE32.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, ISO 21434 concepts and ASPICE software development processes.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), version control systems (Git), scripting languages (Python), and Automotive microcontrollers (pref. Infineon AURIX™ TC3xx).
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken).

What we offer:

• RAL (Full Benefits): The compensation package for this role ranges from EUR 24,000 to EUR 28,000.
• Employment Status: The position is classified under the National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce and Tertiary Sector (CCNL Commercio e Terziario) applied by Akronos Technologies Group.
• Selection Notes: Placement within the range will be determined based on technical skills, specific role experience, and the outcomes of the selection process, according to objective and predefined criteria.
