Automotive Designer Sr.

ALTEN México, an integral part of the ALTEN Group, specializes in offering advanced engineering and technology consulting services for various industries, standing out in the automotive sector. Currently, we are looking for a talented Sr. Automotive Designer to join our team to lead projects for innovative and high-quality automotive components design.

In this role, you will play a fundamental part in the development and optimization of complex designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that all components meet the necessary standards. Likewise, you will be responsible for the supervision of more junior designers, sharing your experience and knowledge to foster their professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead interior and exterior design activities with minimal supervision.
• Perform structural performance evaluations using Altair's SimSolid.
• Review and validate the results of junior designers to ensure their accuracy and compliance.
• Contribute ideas during design reviews to ensure first-time quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Participate in presentations with design leads and design launch engineers.
• Actively participate in vehicle compartment integration team reviews.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Siemens NX, TEAMCENTER, SIMSOLID, CAE.
• Solid knowledge in plastics and electrical components design.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership ability.
• Attention to detail and commitment to work quality.
• Advanced English is a requirement.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
