Automation Technician

Department: Production

Reporting to: Tobacco Processing Manager

Location: Bucharest

Role: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Part of the team responsible for the maintenance of electrical and automation equipment;
• Development of technical solutions and preparation of project-specific documentation;
• Assists and supports the maintenance team in the installation and commissioning of production equipment;
• Monitoring and optimization of production processes;
• Assists in diagnosing faults of electrical and automation equipment;
• Application of JTI Robustness standards (Industrial Security, Back-up etc).
• Applies and respects the IWS methodology in daily activities.
• Contributes to maintaining Basic Conditions, eliminating losses, and continuously improving the performance of equipment and processes.

Requirements:

• Availability to work in shifts;
• Student or graduate of an engineering faculty, preferably in the field of industrial automation or industrial robots;
• Basic knowledge in PLC programming (Beckhoff, Siemens S7/TIA);
• Theoretical and/or practical knowledge in the field of electrical engineering;
• Basic notions in networking (TCP-IP);
• Basic understanding and interest in current trends and practices in the engineering field;
• Previous participation in industrial automation or process control projects is an advantage;
• Good communication skills;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to diagnose and analyze defects in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
• Basic knowledge of SCADA systems (WinCC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Windows (embedded versions);
• Knowledge of IWS principles is an advantage.
• Experience in industrial automation and SCADA systems is a significant advantage
• Availability for technical interventions in shifts and commissioning support
• English language – advanced.
