Automation Technician (m/w/d) SPS Programming Mechanical Engineering & Automation in Bonn (1678)

In this position, you will develop and optimize control software for industrial machine and automation solutions. You will work on modern automation concepts, accompany test runs until series readiness, and ensure through your expertise in SPS programming for efficient and reliable production facilities.

Tasks

• SPS Programming: Development, adaptation, and configuration of control software for blow film machines.
• Automation: Further development and optimization of automation in mechanical engineering**, creation and implementation of hardware and software concepts for industrial automation systems.
• Tests & Commissioning: Preparation and conduct of validation of new software solutions until deployment readiness, installation and commissioning of automation solutions at customers worldwide, and conduct of retrofits and service deployments.
• Technical Support: Support of service technicians in the context of first-level support.
• Dokumentation & Training: Creation of technical documentation and training of customer and service personnel.

Qualification

• Qualification: Completed studies as an engineer or further education as a technician in the field of automation technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Professional Experience: Several years of experience in SPS programming – ideally in mechanical engineering or automation.
• Automation Systems: In-depth knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and SCL (Structured Control Language) and ideally experience with WinCC Unified and safety technologies.
• Work Style: Analytical thinking, structured and self-reliant work style.
• Communication: Customer orientation, team ability, and excellent communication skills.
• Languages & Mobility: Very good German and good English skills, as well as willingness to travel internationally.
