For the Dietlikon location, we are looking for an Automation Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Development of concepts for production facilities and automation solutions, from requirements analysis to detailed design

• Safe and user-oriented design of the facilities (Usability / Safety / Ergonomics / Lifecycle cost)

• Risk assessment according to Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230

• Selection and integration of vision systems, testing methods, and industrial robots, depending on the project

• Creation and maintenance of concepts, layouts, and design documents in CAD

• Participation in product developments, retrofit solutions, and transfers

• Accompanying validation (CE), testing, and commissioning of the facilities

• Adherence to safety and quality standards

• Taking responsibility for coordination and, if necessary, project management within the project

• Professional communication with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Your Qualifications

• Completed engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics (BSc/MSc)

• Several years of professional experience in the concept development of production facilities and in automation technology

• Knowledge in risk assessment and the safe design of machinery according to Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230

• Proficient in CAD (e.g., Inventor / Solidworks)

• Experience with the commissioning of facilities and with FMEA is an advantage

• Experience with the integration of vision systems (Keyence / Cognex / VisionPro / Halcon, …)

• Programming skills for PLC/HMI are an advantage (e.g., Beckhoff / Siemens / Allen Bradley and C#)

• Very good German and English language skills

• Structured, careful, and independent way of working

• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking, solution-oriented

• Creativity, customer orientation, team spirit, and quick comprehension
