Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

At Modulist, we help logistics companies and medium-sized businesses make their processes more efficient through customized software solutions, Vibe Coding applications, and digital automations. We work 100% remotely, with flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes, and a strong focus on self-directed work and practical results.

Responsibilities

• Workflow & Automation Engineering: You will build and expand complex automations and interfaces (e.g., via Make, n8n, or API integrations) for our clients in logistics and the medium-sized business sector.
• Vibe Coding & Application Integration: You will utilize modern AI & Vibe Coding tools to quickly develop and implement prototypes, internal tools, or customized micro-services.
• Websites & Hosting: You will occasionally create and maintain company websites based on WordPress, take care of hosting, deployments, and technical adjustments.
• Team Collaboration: You will work closely with our Senior Automation Engineer, who will guide you, define architectural guardrails, and support you with complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Education & Studies: Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics (or equivalent) OR a well-founded further education / vocational training in the IT sector.
• Practical Experience: You have already gained initial professional experience in automation, API connections, and system integrations.
• Hands-on Mentality in Coding: You enjoy quickly building runnable code and functional workflows using modern development approaches and AI assistance (Vibe Coding).
• WordPress & Web Know-how: Basic knowledge of working with WordPress, HTML/CSS/JS, as well as server & hosting topics is present.
• No Senior Required, but a Go-Getter Attitude: You don't need to be a senior with decades of experience – a quick grasp of concepts, a willingness to learn, and a passion for pragmatic solutions are more important to us.
• Independence in Home Office: You work in a structured manner, proactively take on tasks independently, and communicate transparently in the remote daily routine.
