Automation Tester

Information about the project: Industry: banking Rate: up to 140 pln/h net + VAT, B2B Location: Gdańsk or Warsaw (presence in the office at least 3 times a week when required) Summary: The role of the Automation Tester is focused on leading and executing automated frontend testing, primarily to enhance product quality for large corporate clients. Main responsibilities: * Leading and executing automated frontend testing. * Supporting API testing activities by reviewing and writing tests. * Collaborating closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand requirements and define test coverage. * Contributing approximately 30% of time to manual testing. * Working effectively within a Scrum team and participating in agile ceremonies. Key Requirements: * Strong hands-on experience (minimum 3 years) with test automation tools: Playwright and TypeScript (or JavaScript), Cucumber with Java for API testing. * Experience with JIRA and qTest, and knowledge of GIT or other version control systems (Bitbucket preferred). * Excellent communication skills and collaboration ability across roles (developers, analysts, Product Owners). * Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset. * Ability to identify, reproduce, and document defects effectively. * Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities. * A proactive attitude and ownership of tasks. * Strong understanding of frontend testing and the testing pyramid. * Proven track record in agile/Scrum teams with experience in test automation. Nice to Have: * Experience in writing automated test cases with JavaScript and Cypress. * Experience with Selenium and RestAssured for writing automated test cases.
