Automation Test Engineer (Python | IAM | GCP) Krakow - hybrid - 6 days/month Join the team responsible for developing modern solutions in the area of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud security. We are looking for someone who wants to develop in backend automated testing, work with an API-based architecture and event-driven systems, and have a real impact on the quality of enterprise-level solutions. You will collaborate with Cloud Security, DevOps, Application Engineering teams, and Tech Leads, creating and developing automated tests for identity management processes, service integrations, and modern cloud applications. This is a role for a hands-on person who enjoys automation, development, and working with a modern technology stack. Scope of Responsibilities Test Automation & Quality Engineering Design, create, and execute automated tests for backend applications and IAM solutions. Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and documentation. Create and develop test frameworks based on Python and Pytest. Test REST API-based services and integrations between systems. Verify the correct functioning of event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, queues, Kafka) and asynchronous processes. Test business logic defined as code (Policy as Code). Create and maintain test data enabling automated and repeatable testing. CI/CD and Team Collaboration Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Security, and Software Engineering teams in delivering high-quality solutions. Analyze test results and participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes. Identify quality risks and propose improvements to increase application reliability. Defect Management Report, analyze, and verify bugs. Participate in defect analysis meetings. Monitor work progress and report test status. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years of experience in backend test automation using Python and Pytest, experience in testing REST APIs (Postman, Insomnia, Apidog, or similar tools), knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) issues, experience with event-based architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka, message queues), knowledge of protocols and standards such as SCIM, LDAP, OIDC, REST API, or CSV, knowledge of authorization models RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, or PBAC, practical experience with JIRA and Zephyr, knowledge of CI/CD processes and integration of automated tests with pipelines, experience in testing cloud solutions (Google Cloud Platform is a plus), very good command of English enabling work in an international environment. Additional advantages will include experience in Contract Testing, knowledge of OPA / Rego and the Policy as Code approach, experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j), knowledge of orchestration tools (e.g., n8n) or GenAI solutions supporting testing, experience with tests run in containers, knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad), experience with GitOps, knowledge of tools such as HashiCorp Vault, SPIFFE/SPIRE, or solutions related to session management and security.
