Automation & SCADA Engineer

MONT-ELE is a leading company in the design and construction of electromechanical equipment and systems for the railway sector and is looking for an Automation & SCADA Engineer with experience to join its Automation & SCADA division, at its operational headquarters in Giussano (MB).

Role Description:

The role will be responsible for realizing Automation systems and SCADA solutions for railway, metro, and electric mobility systems: electrical substations, railway tunnels, charging for electric buses, innovative systems.

Main Activities:

- Analysis of project requirements and writing detailed specifications

- Software development for control devices (PLC, RTU, DCS)

- Software development on SCADA platforms

- Development of dedicated application software (VSTA, C#, C++...)

- Factory testing and validation

- On-site commissioning

The candidate will be required to develop the project from requirements acquisition to on-site commissioning; the figure will need to interface with various company units for activity coordination.

Availability for business trips within national and international territory for the commissioning of developed systems is required.

Education and Prerequisites Required:

- Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, Electrical) or a degree in Computer Science

- English language minimum B1 level

- Experience in the Automation sector

- Experience in development with SCADA platforms

- Experience in developing PLC – RTU controllers according to IEC 61131 standard

- Knowledge of communication protocols IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850, MODBUS TCP, OPC-UA, etc.

- Knowledge of programming environments (VSTA, C#, C++...)

Position and Remuneration:

Permanent contract. The position and remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and skills. Possibility to work remotely 1 day a week in Smart-Working.
