Automation & Robotics Engineer

Job Description Summary The Robotics & Automation Engineer will be part of AMRT Robotics Team responsible for the development, industrialization, and support for advanced robotics processes & systems for the Gas Power business globally. She/he will develop industrial robotic and automation systems, implement them in GE facilities, and provide on-going technical support. Job Description Essential Functions : The focus for this role is to lead to identify and develop industrial robotic and automation systems that can be used across multiple GE facilities. This includes designing, developing, testing, and implementing robotics processes & systems that meet the needs of our customers. She/he will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of these systems. Job Description Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in robotics engineering, automation, and/or mechatronics. Strong understanding of robotics and automation principles, including programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB. Experience with industrial robots, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Familiarity with computer vision and machine learning concepts. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
