Automation Engineer

The Challenge

We are looking for an Automation Engineer for our clients in the Weert region, effective immediately. Our clients are active in the (heavy) industry and engineering sectors and continuously need engineers who can design, build, and commission industrial automation projects.

As an Automation Engineer, you will work on diverse automation projects: from drafting technical specifications to programming, testing, and commissioning PLC and SCADA systems. You will work in multidisciplinary project teams and be the technical point of contact for automation within your projects.

What will you do?

Your activities will include:

• Design & Specification: translating customer requirements into functional and technical specifications for automation solutions

• PLC & SCADA: programming, configuring, and testing PLC and SCADA systems for industrial installations

• Commissioning: supervising and executing commissioning at the client's site and resolving faults

• Collaboration: working with project managers, hardware engineers, and colleagues within multidisciplinary project teams

• Salary: €4,000 – €5,500 gross per month (for 40 hours)

• 25 vacation days + 13 ADV (days off in lieu of overtime) days (for 40 hours)

• Travel expenses reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer

Hard skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, ICT, or equivalent

• Experience with programming and configuring PLC and SCADA systems

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industrial control systems and networks

• Experience with drafting technical and functional specifications

• Experience with on-site commissioning at industrial clients

Soft skills

• Independent and solution-oriented

• Good communication skills towards clients and team

• Practical and hands-on attitude
