Automation Engineer

Actemium Belgium employs today 900 people, spread across 8 sites in Belgium, 1 in China and 1 in France. As a result of our growth, we are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Engineer at Actemium Belgium, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems for various industrial processes. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. Your tasks will include: • Designing and developing automation systems using programming languages such as Python, C++, or Visual Basic. • Implementing and testing automation systems in a laboratory environment or on-site at the client's premises. • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing automation systems. • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to develop and implement new automation solutions. • Providing training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of automation systems. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of automation principles and technologies. You should also have experience working with industrial control systems, programming languages, and software tools such as Siemens SIMATIC, Allen-Bradley PLC, or Rockwell Automation RSLinx. In addition to your technical skills, you should be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
