Automation Engineer

Strategy & Planning Prepare a draft of the annual automation project implementation plan in consultation with the relevant stakeholders. Create a project specific implementation plan in line with the annual automation plan. Functional Core Analyse automation opportunities from a business perspective to prioritise initiatives for implementation. Work jointly with key stakeholders to identify pros and cons at an operational level and accordingly arrive at a feasible solution for implementation. Consider the potential impact on existing processes, systems and infrastructure. Identify and document any dependencies or interdependencies between different parts of the project. Develop a detailed plan for the automation project including timelines, milestones and resources required. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the project's objectives and scope. Monitor and control the progress of the project to ensure it stays on track. Report regularly to stakeholders on the project's status and any changes or issues that may arise. Analyse and document lessons learned from the automation project implementation. Provide recommendations for future improvements based on the experience gained. Develop a plan for continuous improvement and monitoring of the automation project, including identifying areas for further development and implementing new technologies as needed. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and standards.
