Summary The role of the Appraiser/Estimator is to provide a detailed estimate to repair a vehicle post collision. The estimator is responsible to many stakeholders including insurance companies, vehicle owners, and CSN's own internal stakeholders. The estimator must have a strong understanding of the repair process and be able to accurately assess the damage to a vehicle. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The estimator will be responsible for: • Conducting a thorough inspection of the vehicle to identify the extent of the damage • Developing a detailed estimate of the repairs required to return the vehicle to its pre-accident condition • Communicating the estimate to the vehicle owner and/or insurance company • Coordinating with CSN's repair team to ensure that the repairs are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner • Maintaining accurate records of the estimate and repair process • Providing excellent customer service to vehicle owners and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have: • A strong understanding of the collision repair process and the ability to accurately assess the damage to a vehicle • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service • Certification as an Autobody Collision Estimator (ACE) or willingness to obtain certification • High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
