Apprentice to Technical Specialist for Event Technology (m/w/d)

- from August 1, 2026, full-time -

We are looking for a motivated and reliable apprentice to technical specialist for event technology (m/w/d) for our Event Technology Team.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?

You are technically interested, work practically, and want to learn what it takes to bring exciting concerts and events onto the stage? Then start your three-year dual apprenticeship as a technical specialist for event technology at one of Europe's most renowned concert halls. During the apprenticeship, you will be directly integrated into practice, can quickly apply your theoretical and technical knowledge, and take on more responsibility over time. Your tasks during the apprenticeship include:

• Setting up and dismantling, as well as maintaining, stage-, lighting-, sound-, and media technology for various events

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of event technology installations

• Supporting technical planning and implementation of in-house events and guest events of different formats, especially concerts, special events, festival acts, and scenic music theater productions

Qualification

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

• Completed secondary education (middle school diploma is desirable)

• Good technical understanding

• Physical stamina (e.g., lifting and carrying heavy loads)

• For the theoretical part of the apprenticeship (vocational school), a good mathematical and physical understanding is required

• Practical experience in event technology is an advantage, but not a must-have

• Teamwork and high customer friendliness

• High motivation, concentration, and reliability

• Very good German language skills in writing and speaking (at least B2 level) as well as good English language skills

• Completion of the 18th year of life at apprenticeship start (due to the event business, evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts will occur)

ABOUT US

The Berlin Concert Hall is one of Germany's most renowned concert halls with around 300 own events per season. Through its diverse program, the historic house on Gendarmenmarkt aims to reach all population groups.

On artistic, technical, and administrative levels as well as in the concert hall orchestra, more than 200 people from different backgrounds work together at our institution. Together, we want to preserve and pass on our rich musical culture at the highest level - under the leadership of Chief Conductor Joana Mallwitz and international guest conductors, as well as with numerous renowned soloists. At the same time, we create new and surprising access to music through chamber concert series, mediation formats, festivals, and the children's and youth program "Young Concert Hall", which complements the symphony concerts. In the digital space, the Berlin Concert Hall offers all interested parties low-threshold opportunities to get to know classical music.
