How are materials purchased? How is a quote generated? And how is a customer order initiated? With us, you will learn how a mechanical engineering company functions commercially – and you will work with it step by step yourself.

We are BAUER KOMPRESSOREN, a medium-sized, family-run mechanical engineering company in the compressed air industry with international customers. With us, you will combine commercial knowledge with insights into the world of compressors.

During your dual training, you will learn in the company and at vocational school. With us, you will go through various departments and learn how they work together:

• Purchasing: You will learn how we procure materials and process orders and order confirmations.
• Sales and Customer Service: You will assist in creating quotes and orders and communicate with customers and suppliers domestically and internationally.
• Finance and Controlling: You will learn how invoices are generated and how we use numbers to keep an overview of our business.
• Human Resources: You will assist with applications and tasks related to supporting our employees.
• Quality Assurance: You will gain insights into the processes we use to ensure our quality.

This way, you will discover which commercial tasks suit you best.

• You have a good secondary school leaving certificate, for example from a Realschule or Wirtschaftsschule, or a higher school leaving certificate, such as from a Fachoberschule (FOS). A comparable qualification also fits.
• You are interested in economic contexts and enjoy working with numbers.
• You enjoy using computers and are interested in programs like Word and Excel.
• You work carefully and keep your tasks in view.
• You have good German and English language skills.
• You want to learn new things and enjoy working together with others.
