Apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) 2027

You will carry out your activities at various locations, primarily on assembly sites, in workshops, or in the service area. You will often work in a team and coordinate your work with upstream and downstream departments.

The apprenticeship consists of two modules:
Module 1

• Fundamentals of metalworking and electrical engineering
• Machining technology (turning & milling)
• Joining technology: arc welding, gas fusion welding, brazing, and flame cutting
• Piping systems technology

Module 2

• Control technology: fundamentals of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-pneumatics
• VPS training + VDE regulations
• Fundamentals of electrical measurement technology
• Control engineering + electronics
• Project work (assembly and commissioning of mechatronic systems)
• PLC programming (Siemens S7)/ LOGO programming
• Basic IT course in MS Word/MS Excel/ MS PowerPoint

Training locations:

• Deployment within our own company or in the supply area and on the pipeline network, at gas pressure regulating and measuring systems, at customer installations/internal installations
• Training workshop Rhein-Erft Akademie GmbH, Chemiepark Knapsack
• Vocational school classes Rhein-Erft Berufskolleg, Chemiepark Knapsack

Training duration:
3.5 years

• Good Hauptschulabschluss (lower secondary school leaving certificate)
• Good understanding of mathematics and physics
• High willingness to learn
• Teamwork skills

• Remuneration according to TVAöD (including special payments) and energy cost allowance
