Training to become an E-Commerce Merchant (m/f/d)

Kopp Verlag is an independent media and e-commerce company with over 30 years of experience in the market and an independent publishing approach. Our product range extends from books and magazines to dietary supplements, food and drugstore items, as well as outdoor & survival and home & garden.

Do you want to know how an online shop works, how products become visible online, and what sales figures reveal about customer behavior? During your apprenticeship, you will get to know our e-commerce business from various perspectives and work hands-on from the start.

Are you interested in digital topics, numbers, and online retail, and do you want to not just watch but also shape things? Then training as an E-Commerce Merchant with us is exactly right for you.

Your Apprenticeship

• You will learn how our online shop is structured and how products are presented and sold online
• You will work with product data, content, and digital sales processes
• You will support the evaluation of sales figures, customer behavior, and relevant e-commerce key performance indicators
• You will get to know different departments such as purchasing, marketing, and customer service, and understand how they interact in e-commerce
• You will gain insight into shop technologies, digital tools, and the ongoing development of our online business
• You will participate in sales campaigns and digital marketing measures and learn how offers are marketed online
• You will get to know modern digital and AI-supported tools and how they can be sensibly used in e-commerce
• You will work on real tasks and, with increasing experience, take on your own topics
• Your vocational school is located in Tübingen

What you bring

• Intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or (technical) Abitur
• You are interested in e-commerce, digital topics, numbers, tools, and trends
• You want to understand how customers behave in an online shop and how digital sales processes work
• You are eager to familiarize yourself with data analysis, shop technologies, and new digital applications
• You are curious about AI and new tools and enjoy experimenting with how workflows can be improved with them
• You enjoy working in a team and actively contribute
• You are independent, reliable, and eager to learn
• You work in a structured and careful manner and have a good understanding of numbers
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing
