Training to Designer/Designer for Immersive Media (GIM)

We are World of VR – your XR specialist in Cologne. Our purpose is "Evolve Humanity Virtually". We create digital experiences of the future. Whether school, industry, or trade show – our virtual worlds come into use everywhere.

We are offering training to GIM for the umpteenth time. The start date is September 1st, 2026, but an entry is also possible at a later date.

Tasks

• In your training, you'll bridge the gap between creative design and immersive technology:
  3D Design & World Building: From the first sketch to the finished texture (e.g. with Blender, Maya or Cinema 4D).
• Game Engines: You'll learn how to bring 3D models to life in Unity or Unreal Engine (lighting, sound, animation).
• Customer Contact: You're involved from the start at meetings, learning customer wishes and presenting ideas confidently.
• User Experience (UX/UI): How digital spaces become intuitive and feel good for users.
• Teamwork: You'll work on real projects hand in hand with development and project management.

Qualification

• Passion: Spatial Computing, Virtual Reality, and Games fascinate you. You have a desire to create digital worlds yourself.
• Communication Talent: You approach people openly and enjoy growing into consulting and direct contact with our customers.
• Imagination: You have a good eye for details, colors, and spatial proportions.
