Apprenticeship Salary: 1st year: €1,388; 2nd year: €1,435; 3rd year: €1,499; 4th year: €1,568

Duration of Apprenticeship: 3.5 years (with good performance, a reduction to 3 years is possible)

Inter-company Training Locations:

• Hamburger Ausbildungszentrum (HAZ), Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel
• Vocational School for Steel and Mechanical Engineering, Hamburg-Hohenfelde

Apprenticeship completed and then? Depending on demand, HOCHBAHN offers individual further training and specialization opportunities.

• You will install, maintain, and repair our train control and communication technology.
• You will be ready to assist in case of malfunctions with our ticket machines.
• You will configure digital systems such as voice recordings, train destination displays, and info columns – so that all of Hamburg knows where to go.
• You will learn how electronic circuits and circuit boards work, actively contribute to them – and program the appropriate software.
• You will bring together technology and IT and develop solutions that make our subway operations safer and smarter.

• A good secondary school leaving certificate (Mittlerer Schulabschluss)
