• Planning, drawing, repairing, and manufacturing of systems, devices, and pumps

• Manufacturing of workpieces using drilling, turning, and milling machines
• Joining components using various welding and soldering processes
• Assembling, testing, and maintaining pneumatic, electropneumatic, and hydraulic components
• Identifying and rectifying faults on all machines and systems
• ASSIGNMENT AT WVER: Wastewater treatment plants – a variety of highly automated machines are used here. This extensive use of technology naturally requires the control, monitoring, and maintenance of the mechanical system components

• At least the Fachoberschulreife (intermediate school certificate) with good math and physics knowledge
• Interest in technical, especially mechanical, contexts
• Carefulness and dexterity in manual work
• Spatial visualization skills and a solution-oriented approach to work

• Teamwork skills and a high degree of responsibility

• TRAINING LOCATION(S): WVER's training center at the Aachen-Soers wastewater treatment plant. From the second year of apprenticeship, trainees will also be assigned to one of WVER's many wastewater treatment plants, dams, or service departments near their place of residence
