Audit Manager

Job Title: Audit Manager Location: Cape Town Position Type: Full-time Reports To: Chief Financial Officer Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our clients team. The Audit Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the internal audit function of the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing, risk assessment, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute the annual audit plan based on risk assessments and organizational objectives. * Plan, manage, and conduct internal audits, ensuring audits are completed efficiently and effectively. * Evaluate internal controls and processes to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement. * Prepare audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations to management. * Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow-up on audit findings. * Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. * Manage and mentor a team of audit professionals. * Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations. * Conduct special investigations and reviews as needed. * Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CA) is required. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing. * Strong knowledge of auditing standards, principles, and practices. * Experience in risk assessment and internal control evaluation. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Experience with audit software and data analysis tools.
